That does help, so right a the very start go left and get a nice run of hits in. Many of the threads on this boss suggest going to the edge when he spins. I just used the strikes as a pause to heal in. The lightning I actually found was 90% avoidable, so wasn't worth that slot for protection from it. Mainly it requires learning until you know all the phases and where you want to try to be in them to get some damage in or deploy a flask or power. It does feel, for all the reasons the OP says, that this is a brick wall. Other than that devs good game, keep up the good work, maybe make the ledges a little less sticky. Having a move added in phase two that's exactly the same as one from phase one and then randomly having one or the other happen is just about impossible to learn to see whats coming. Sure, you can beat stuff that way, but it's more satisfying I think to learn it and beat it that way. Otherwise its all RNGesus hoping you get the set of moves that you think you are getting. Hopefully the devs read this and really the main point is you have to make patterns at least somewhat detectable, thats how we learn to beat them. So far ive spent about 4 hours on it, and I'm sure ill spend 4 more 8 more until I beat it, but it's just disappointing to see this first blip in a game thats been all in all pretty good so far. All that aside, though, this fight really crams all the cheese and gripes into one concentrated package so its a very frustrating affair. ![]() Game has been really enjoyable so far, with some gripes about ledges being too sticky and the dodge timing being weird in relation to enemy movements - like you cant dodge through an enemy but if they swing then you can. Forget healing in this part of the fight, even if you get it off, it will instantly be negated as you get hit as you heal. Of course, if you did the parry move, that locks you in for a bit so you have very very little time to dodge out.įinally, just to make you really salty, the last three Hp bars he calls in a helper who flies through the air and can literally spear you at any time, many times trapping you between the helper and the guy on opposite sides making hits unavoidable even if you parry one. Then in phase two, ho hoho! Sometimes, when you think you've got it figured out hes going to do the swing, he does the exact animation and everything but instead throws 5 lightning stikes at you and if you dont quickly dodge out you get mugged. Also, hes SUUUUUPER spongy, even if I do get a parry off, it takes off maybe 1/2 of one HP bar, and its not like I can say oh hes going to do the swing after X move, cause it doesnt follow anything reliably. ![]() Then, god forbid you miss one, you get stun locked into several lighting strikes as well. Anytime I try to parry his big swing, he literally swings right through me and ends up on the other side of me, marking parrying a 50/50 proposition at best, its usually less. ![]() This fight seems like it takes all the few bad things about this game and packs it all into one fight - the slow healing, the stun locking, and the weird positioning.
